Clean BC Electric Vehicles Rebates for homes and workplaces,
The CleanBC Go Electric program, funded by the Government of B.C. and with support from the Government of Canada, is administered by BC Hydro. It offers rebates for the purchase and installation of electric vehicle (EV) chargers and infrastructure. Single-family homes, including duplexes and townhouses with private garages or dedicated parking, can receive a rebate of up to 50% of the eligible Level 2 EV charger’s purchase and installation costs, with a maximum rebate of $350.
Charger rebates for apartments/condos and workplaces increased for a limited time,
Effective April 1, 2022, the Government of B.C. has increased the rebate amounts for EV chargers in apartments/condos and workplaces for a limited time. Workplaces can now receive a rebate of up to $5,000 per charger (previously $2,000), with a maximum rebate of $25,000 (previously $14,000) for eligible Level 2 networked EV chargers installed for employee use. Pre-approval from BC Hydro is necessary before purchasing and/or installing chargers to qualify for the rebate.
